News: New Members Needed
The Yorkshire Medical Chambers is growing in size and we have more opportunities for locum GPs who would like to become members. As our reputation is growing and our practice base is expanding then new opportunities are arising for further members to join.
Are you comfortable in different working environments, keen to be your own boss and enjoy the freedom of working the times you want to work then freelancing may be the career for you. Are you looking for a more permanent job but want to spend some time seeing what is out there or have just finished VTS and don't want to commit but still need the support of a 'virtual practice' around you then freelancing may be for you. Are you a partner but looking for more variety in your work, or maybe thinking of moving on then freelancing may also be for you. The Chambers can remove the isolation of working in this way help you manage the business of being freelance and provide the support needed for Appraisal and Revalidation, taking the hassle out of locuming and giving you the freedom to practice.
We can negotiate good rates of pay for locum work, manage your bookings and invoicing, we meet regularly to cover significant events and audits as well as linking in to CPD activities and running some of our own.
Currently we are looking for members who are happy to work sessions in the following areas:
Hull and North Lincolnshire
York, Bridlington and Scarborough areas
York and Leeds
Huddersfield and Leeds
South Yorkshire - The Chambers would like to open a division in the Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster areas if you are currently working as a locum in this area and are looking to working smarter and gaining the support of a freelance group then please get in touch we would love to hear from you.

The Chambers is free to join however new members are required to submit a CV with references and undergo an interview process before being admitted into the chambers.
